About the Department of Science & Humanities Welcome to the Department of Science & Humanities at Loknete Shamrao Peje Government College of Engineering, Ratnagiri. Welcome to the Department of Sciences and Humanities, established in the year 2021. It serves as a link between pure sciences (Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, biological sciences etc.) and engineering/technology disciplines. Department aims to cater the needs of technology students during their initial semesters by providing a foundation through various theoretical and practical courses as per the curriculum of the affiliated university. The essential basic concepts related to physical, chemical and mathematical sciences and Value education and cocurricular courses are inculcated in the minds of budding engineers in their initial years of study. This Department equips students with the essential knowledge and skills they need to succeed in their chosen areas.
