Welcome to the Department of Electrical Engineering at Loknete Shamrao Peje Government College of Engineering, Ratnagiri.

Established in the year 2021, the Department of Electrical Engineering is committed to educate future leaders in the field by providing a rigorous academic environment enriched with practical experience. Our mission is to cultivate a diverse community of learners who will drive technological advances worldwide. We envision becoming a global leader in electrical engineering education and research, contributing meaningfully to industry and society through innovation and excellence.

Faculty

Our department boasts a distinguished team of faculty members with expertise spanning Power Electronics, Power Systems, Electrical Drives, Renewable Energy and such promising areas in the field of applications.

Academic Programs

The Department offers Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) in Electrical Engineering, which follows a curriculum focused on core competencies and emerging technologies.

Mandatory Internship after the end of every academic year is a promising feature offered to make students aware and trained in the industrial environment and to make them industry ready.

Students also benefitted from vibrant organizations like the EESA and students clubs, alongside ample internship and cooperative education opportunities with leading industry partners including MSEB, Railways, RCF, BEST, and many more.

Students are encouraged to participate in the various state-level, national-level technical competitions. Few students have bagged prices in technical symposium as best paper award, appreciation in state-level project competitions like Dipex.

For our students, I strongly encourage you to stay on top of your coursework and utilize the resources available to you, including reaching out to your professors or academic advisors for support. Be sure to regularly check for information on upcoming workshops, seminars, guest lectures, and career events, as these are valuable opportunities for learning and networking. I also highly recommend getting involved in our student chapters of professional organizations like IEEE and Eta Kappa Nu, which offer excellent opportunities for leadership development, technical projects, and building connections.

To our faculty, I commend your continued dedication to advancing knowledge through research and publications and your invaluable guidance and mentorship to our students. Your input and collaboration in enhancing our curriculum to reflect the latest advancements are also greatly appreciated. For our staff, your dedication to ensuring the smooth operation of the department is essential, and I thank you for your hard work and commitment to supporting our students and faculty.
